Innovation in preventive medicine and precision executive checkups
More tests do not always mean better prevention: a useful checkup starts with your history.

An executive checkup is an opportunity to review health and set prevention priorities. Its value is not measured by the number of tests or a fashionable technology. Clinical assessment guides meaningful testing based on age, history, symptoms and risk factors.
Start with a complete medical history
Share previous diagnoses, medication, family history and habits. In the program described by EME TRAVELS, Dr. Fernando López’s approach starts with individual assessment rather than a fixed test list. Additional studies depend on findings and clinical usefulness.
Prevention based on indication
USPSTF recommendations guide prevention by patient characteristics and do not replace clinical judgment. A test may offer benefits but also false positives and unnecessary follow-up investigations. Ask what decision each result would change.
From results to a health plan
A checkup should conclude with an explanation and next steps. The program is usually organized over 3 to 5 days depending on scope and coordination; this does not mean every test is needed or completed in the same timeframe. Confirm checks, referrals and ongoing follow-up.
Questions for your consultation
- Which tests are useful for my age and history?
- Who will explain the results and follow-up?
